Facebook and Google Threat to Human Rights

In its 58-page long report, Amnesty has named Facebook and Google's business framework 'global monitoring of billions of people'. These technology companies also need to make fundamental changes in their basic business model, the Amnesty report states.

Amnesty reports that users continue to pay for their personal data, even though Google and Facebook use their services, with no charge to consumers.

Facebook is responding to Amnesty's claim that its business model is based on advertising and that it is promoting human rights by giving people an opportunity to raise their voice and unite.

Amnesty's report printed a confirmation from a Facebook director. In which, he says, he disagrees with Amnesty's conclusion that Facebook's work is not in line with human rights principles.
