Maruti Suzuki's Make New Record

Shaw's number one car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Tuesday said that its popular entry-level small car Alto has crossed 38 lakh sales figures. Maruti Suzuki said that Maruti Suzuki Alto was launched in 2000. Alto crossed the 10 lakh sales figure in 2008 and in 2012 it had crossed 20 lakh. In 2016, this car crossed 3 million sales. The company said that it is the best-selling car in India for 15 consecutive years.

Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) of Maruti Suzuki India said that Alto has been the preferred option for entry level car buyers due to its compact design, greater mileage, safety features and more. Maruti Suzuki introduced Alto's BS6 Compliant variant this year with a mileage of 22.05 km / liter, which has safety features like air bag, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution system and reverse parking sensor. Features like speed alert system and seat belt reminder for both driver and co-driver to comply with the new Safety and Emission Regulation. At present, Alto's X showroom price ranges from Rs 2.89 lakh to Rs 4.09 lakh.

Talking of engine and power, the Maruti Suzuki Alto k10 has a 998cc petrol engine that generates 50 kW of power at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.
